CardBento Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-17-review-1 · Effective 2026-10-17
These Terms govern your use of CardBento, operated by CardBento LLC, Illinois, United States ("CardBento," "we," "us"). CardBento provides trading-card catalog, market-information, collection, watchlist, Scanner and deck tools for users in the United States and Canada. When these Terms are presented for acceptance, you must accept them before creating an account or using features that require acceptance. Questions: support@cardbento.com.
1 Who may use CardBento
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are below the age of majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms and review the Privacy Policy, then confirm permission before your account is activated. This also applies when using Google signup. Your own statement that a parent agrees does not replace their confirmation. We request an age category and location to apply these requirements. A parent or guardian who accepts on a minor’s behalf must have authority to do so and supervise that use. Do not create an account for a child under 13.
You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Using Google sign-in is also subject to the applicable terms of your Google account.
2 What the information means
Market values, listing prices, sales observations, charts, signals and collection estimates are informational tools. They are not guaranteed appraisals, offers to buy, promises of future value, or individualized financial, tax or investment advice. Prices can be stale, incomplete, unavailable or wrong. Actual results depend on the exact product, printing, condition, language, selling fees, shipping, taxes and market conditions.
Verify the exact card, version, listing terms and current checkout price before buying or selling. Scanner matches can be incorrect and may require your confirmation. Deck tools and legality indicators do not replace current official tournament rules or an organizer’s decision. You make your own collecting, trading and financial decisions.
3 Your saved information and content
You retain the rights you have in your original uploads, notes and other content. You give CardBento a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, process, copy and display that content as needed to provide the features you request, maintain and secure the service, and handle diagnostic testing you participate in. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content or grant an unrelated advertising-use license.
Only submit information or images that you are entitled to use. Avoid putting other people’s private information into photos or notes. Saved quantities, acquisition costs and sale entries depend on your input. Keep your own records if you need an independent copy for insurance, accounting or other important purposes.
4 Acceptable use
Use CardBento lawfully. Do not access another person’s account or private records, misrepresent your identity or age, upload unlawful content, distribute malware, attempt to bypass authentication or access limits, disrupt the service, or use automated requests in a way that materially harms its availability. Do not infringe another person’s copyright, trademark or privacy rights. These restrictions do not limit activity that applicable law expressly permits.
5 Third parties and affiliate links
Card artwork, game names, logos, catalog data and other third-party material belong to their respective owners. CardBento’s own software and original site content remain ours or our licensors’. Access to CardBento does not grant ownership of third-party material or permission to redistribute data beyond applicable rights.
External stores and marketplaces handle their own purchases, shipping, returns, disputes and customer support. CardBento does not sell the cards shown in those listings or guarantee an external seller. Some links are affiliate links, and CardBento may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies.
6 Free access trials and any paid plans
The features and limits available to you are those shown in the service. Free access does not by itself authorize a payment. A paid plan, if offered, requires a separate purchase choice, with its price, currency, taxes, billing interval, renewal, cancellation and applicable refund terms disclosed before you commit. A no-payment trial does not by itself authorize an automatic charge.
No general no-refund rule is imposed by these Terms. Any paid offering must preserve the cancellation, refund and other consumer rights that apply where you live.
7 Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Privacy notices do not replace any separate consent required by law. We may send messages needed to operate your account, respond to you or deliver alerts you enable. Use the available unsubscribe option for optional price-target emails. Contact support@cardbento.com about account closure or personal-information requests. Our privacy contact verifies account control before providing or deleting account information. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days and complete our response within 30 days, subject to applicable law and permitted extensions. We explain any applicable retention exceptions and keep a limited record of how requests were handled.
8 Availability suspension and closure
We may maintain, change or discontinue features and may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal obligations or a material violation of these Terms. We will provide notice and an opportunity to address a problem when reasonably practical, unless doing so would create a security or legal risk. Any mandatory notice or paid-service remedy required by law still applies.
You may stop using CardBento and request account closure at support@cardbento.com. Deletion and retention of personal information follow the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Closing an account does not remove obligations or claims that arose before closure.
9 Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted access or error-free, complete or current data. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CardBento is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or trading opportunities arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer guarantees or liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Mandatory consumer rights in your state or province take priority over a conflicting term.
10 Changes and disputes
We will post an updated effective date when these Terms change, give notice of material changes, and obtain renewed agreement where required. A change does not retroactively remove rights that have already arisen. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the service and contact us about closing your account.
Please contact support@cardbento.com first so we can try to resolve a concern. Subject to mandatory law and consumer rights where you live, these Terms are governed by Illinois law, without its conflict-of-laws rules. This provision does not deprive Canadian or other consumers of mandatory local protections or lawful access to their local courts. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive participation in a class action. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to the extent permitted by law.
