Stale weight is the portion of carried prices older than three days. Missing prices can use the last published mark for up to 31 days, including monthly exits. Every carried mark makes the level provisional. A quote beyond that limit creates a gap.
Index gaps mean there isn’t enough qualifying price coverage for that day.
Start at 100. Each index follows price changes in a basket of eligible singles. A level of 112 means the basket’s index has risen 12% from its base. Comparison charts start both lines at 100 on their first shared valid date.
One method, different baskets. Templates select cards by set, rarity, character, or market price. Products receive equal weights at monthly basket updates. Changes in membership are linked into the index without a jump from adding cards.
See the underlying coverage. Prices come from the available market-price history. Missing observations and limited catalog metadata affect coverage. These are price benchmarks; they don’t include transaction fees or measure how quickly cards sell.
